Based in the picture-perfect village of Casperia, situated in the heart of the Sabina mountains. It is totally pedestrianised, with fewer than 350 inhabitants, and is one of the last villages of Italy untouched by mass tourism.

Sunflower Retreats Holidays yoga classes are suitable for beginners as well as more practiced yogis.

With a down-to-earth approach to the practice, classes are held on Friday through Tuesday from 08.00 to 09.30, before breakfast, with some yoga classes throughout the week outdoors in spectacular surroundings when the weather is suitable.  Afternoon yoga sessions are also offered three times each retreat week.

Outdoor yoga classes take place on our platform which is located in an oasis of green inside the village walls. It's a beautiful and serene environment, with dappled sunlight and the sound of birdsong all around.

Included in your stay is a delicious buffet dinner on arrival day, with fresh food including gluten-free and vegetarian options, is provided for guests on Thursday evening.

A breakfast/brunch using local organic products and fresh fruit and vegetable juices from our juicing machine is served each morning.

For dinner, The Sabina area has a selection of excellent restaurants providing an atmosphere of the real Italy and a good range of delicious dishes and wines.  Transport to local restaurants can be arranged in the countryside for people wanting to sample Sabina cuisine. In Casperia itself, there are two restaurants where guests can eat in the evenings.

Full meals, snacks and pizza are available in local cafés, bars and restaurants and the village shops have a range of local food and drinks for guests who wish to prepare meals at home.

Casa Latini is a lovingly renovated 13th century building for the exclusive use of Sunflower Retreats Holidays' guests and is elegantly furnished in boutique style with Latin and Eastern influence. One level boasts a thousand-year-old cave which we have converted into an unusual bathroom.

There are two private levels: each level has a twin-bedroom, private lounge and en-suite bathroom and costs £765 per-person.

There is a small Single Loft Room en-suite with skylights (£700) and another small Twin Loft Room en-suite with skylights and panoramic views (£665 per-person).

A spiral staircase on each level leads to the terrace area, where you can enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the rolling valleys and mountains of Sabina, and experience the wonderful sunset each evening over Casperia. There is a communal lounge, kitchen and dining area which opens onto a terrace with fab views.

Adjoining the accommodation in Casa Latini is an original Finnish 'sweat room' sauna, where you can body-brush, warm and relax your muscles and cleanse and revitalise your body and self.

Holistic treatments are a major feature of Sunflower Retreats' path to wellness and complement the yoga we practice. We have a wide range of treatments, as in a spa, but we differ in that we use only natural, organic products and take a holistic approach in our sessions.
